OverlanderX started when we moved to Australia, bought a car, fitted it with a rooftop tent and awning, and set off on a full lap of the country.
Living out of that setup taught us what makes roof-tent gear genuinely good — and what becomes frustrating after weeks on the road. We learned how quickly a tent needs to open, how an awning needs to work in real weather, how important a comfortable bed is, and why the fitment on your vehicle matters.
