Technical Installation & Setup Guide

Phase 01

Pre-Installation checks

Before mounting, ensure your vehicle is equipped with a roof rack or crossbars that meet these technical specifications.

Dynamic Load
Min. 75kg (165lbs)
Bar Spacing
30" (76cm) Min.
Bar Width
35mm - 85mm
Bar Height
25mm - 45mm
Phase 02

Mounting & Centering

Safety First: Two-person lift required. Do not attempt to mount the tent alone, especially if you have back or knee complications.

  • Lift: Position the tent from the front and back onto your rack.
  • Balance: Ensure the tent is centered perfectly with the vehicle to maintain stability at high speeds.
Phase 03

Hardware Installation

Slide bolts into the rail and position the crossbar between them. Place the mounting plate under the bar.

Use two nuts per bracket to secure the mounting plate to the bolts. Tighten until fully secure.

Phase 04

Opening & Deployment

Deployment is gas-strut assisted for ease of use. Follow these steps for a smooth setup:

  1. Ladder: Use the ladder to gain height and leverage.
  2. Release: Open the locking mechanism.
  3. Lift: Give the shell a gentle push; it will automatically open.
  4. Awning: Place awning rods into the holders and hook into the rainfly eyelets.

Critical Safety Warnings

Failure to follow these steps can cause vehicle damage or injury.

DRIVING DIRECTION

The opening side MUST face the back. This prevents wind from catching the lip and forcing the tent open while driving.

MOISTURE CONTROL

After rain or overcast weather, avoid storing wet. You must open the tent in the sun to dry completely to prevent mold.

LOCKS

Always ensure all locks are fully engaged before the vehicle is in motion.
