Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy
At Overlander X, we design and supply heavy-duty roof tents and awnings built for real-world use. Because these are large, specialist products, our returns process is structured to be fair, transparent, and fully compliant with UK consumer law.
1. Change of Mind Returns (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations)
If you purchase online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason.
To be eligible for a change-of-mind return:
- You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order
- The item must be:
- Unused
- Uninstalled
- In original packaging
- Complete with all accessories, fixings, and documentation

Due to the nature of heavy and bulky goods, items that have been opened, installed, test-fitted, or used cannot be accepted for change-of-mind returns.
Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.
2. Heavy Goods & Inspection Clause
All returned items are subject to inspection upon receipt.
Refunds will only be issued once:
- The item has been received
- Inspected for use, damage, or missing components
- Approved as being in resalable condition
If an item shows signs of use, installation, or damage not present at dispatch, we reserve the right to:
- Refuse the return, or
- Apply a deduction to reflect loss of value
3. Shipping Timelines
- Orders are dispatched within the timeframe stated on the product page
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to courier delays or location
- Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery
Customers must inspect deliveries on arrival.
4. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives:
- Damaged
- Faulty
- Or incorrect
You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery, providing:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Supporting photos or video evidence
Where a fault or damage is confirmed, we will:
- Repair, replace, or refund the item in line with UK consumer law
- Cover reasonable return shipping costs where applicable
5. 2-Year Warranty
All Overlander X roof tents and awnings are supplied with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
The warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects
- Material or workmanship faults under normal use
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by:
- Incorrect installation
- Misuse or neglect
- Overloading
- Modification or unauthorised repairs

- Damage caused by accidents, weather extremes beyond intended use, or improper storage
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
6. Items Not Eligible for Return
We cannot accept returns for:
- Items that have been installed or used
- Items damaged due to incorrect fitting or misuse
- Returns without original packaging or missing components
- Clearance or sale items (unless faulty)
